I'm so glad u recommend the Laura Mercier Secret camouflage!!! I've got the LM Undercover Pot in SC02… I love it!! 3 products in the one.the powder is gorgeous & fluffy…smoothes the LM UC perfectly:) I haven't grabbed the Hourglass Ambient powder yet…are there any other powders you'd recommend for these foundations, please? Thanks for all the work you do for us…& have done for me, it means a lot:) I'm learning heaps from you! Too Faced P&P or benefit the Porefessional? MUFE HD Primer? What concealers do u think? With my skin, I've got to worry about very hot weather/humidity sweatiness + tzone oilies that are awful due to power (& oil absorbtion, if possible) are huge factors! The KA SSE is incredible!!! I need to pick a good primer for it and am stuck in the choice…I looked for the Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge, you spoke of, sadly couldn't find it for Australia at a halfway decent price:( Is Embryolisse Creme Concentre anything similar in quality (minus the fact its not a TM) What do u think of using Philosophy The Present? Or Lancome La Base Pro? Or something more of a mousse-like eg. I've ordered the By Terry Sheer Expert in #4 & #8…i kinda felt I was inbetween so now I've got endless possibilities:D

I just received the Kevyn Aucoin SSE in #9.so I now have this to mix with the #5…Perfect for all year, I now have the 2 colours to get a great match.also to mix & play with other products!!

Have you spend lots of time on reading this already, I'd better stop here and wish you have a wonderul day! If consider to buy online, the shipping fee is usually $$$ to ship to HK 🙁 So I would be very happy if I have chance to go to US, I will stock up some makeup, it will save me lots of money!

In general, cosmetics in Hong Kong are more pricey than in US or Europe, no matter those in drugstore or in department stores. Personally I quite like Shu Uemura, the whole concept and the style of their shop display, packaging and their products I like Bobbi Brown as well but I think they are too overpriced, one single concealer costs around $230HKD, it's about 30USD, more or less, it's too expensive for a product only contain 1,7g, that's why when I saw the Kevyn Aucoin SSE, I actually think the price is good as compare to BB's! We do have Tom Ford counter but the brand is not popular at all, and very expensive. However, brands like Kevyn Aucoin, Rouge Bunny Rouge are not available in HK, that's why I like to read your blog, your posts are imformative and I can get to know more of the new beauty brands from you. Other common big brands are also very famous as well like M.A.C, Bobbi Brown, Benefit…etc. Here Japanese brands are very very popular, like Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Kose… Some people think it suits Asian skin better, style, color and texture. Looking forward to your new videos! I always wonder how can you manage to make videos and blogs and so many swatches….as I guess you must be pretty busy with your daily work as a professor!ĭo you mean my favorite brands in Hong Kong? We do have makeup brands from HK, but not popular. Take care and have a wonderful week…xoxo, A cool beige leans very pink (rather than yellow). Beige undertones are more neutral (an equal combination of yellow and pink). To me, a golden yellow undertone is "warm" with pronounced yellow tones. It does indeed photograph well (and it doesn't contain any SPF)…it just looks like very perfect skin ) I have combination skin as well and it doesn't feel too heavy…it does, however, contain mineral oil (which my skin doesn't have a major issue with)!

The beauty of this product, is that you can mix it with moisturizer to sheer it out, or use it full strength for maximum opacity.Ī little bit goes a very long way, so it can be used as a concealer, and if you think it feels too dry (I haven't felt this way), you can add a bit of moisturizer to give it the texture you want. My pleasure! In my experience, #6 is a touch lighter and more golden than #7, which is a hint darker and a little more neutral (although it still has pronounced yellow undertones).
